Share Christ
Now that Christ has changed our lives, we can't help but let others know about His amazing love. We know this is near God's heart because He tells us to love our neighbor and to also go out and share Him with them.
So, where do we go from here?
Telling others about Christ must always be a product of your personal relationship with God. If you're not living your life for God, how can you truly know Him enough to share Him with others? Integrity in Christ must be your root system. That doesn't mean you must be perfect to mention Christ, it simply means that your heart is His and you are pushing forward in your relationship with God.
Be Real and Rely on God
The first thing you must do is PRAY. Next, simply look for someone who doesn't know Jesus as their Lord. That should be easy. It is always God's will for you to share Him with people that do not know His love. One of the best ways to share Christ is to simply be a true friend. There should be nothing manipulative, shallow, or tactical about it. Be a transparent and honest friend. Serve them. This is one of the best ways to gain influence in their life. Actions often speak louder than words. Also, realize that sometimes it may take people a while to believe, so don't give up or grow impatient. Allow God to orchestrate. Never forget the power that prayer has. Continuously pray that the Holy Spirit will work on their heart.
Powerful Basics
Notice, that so far we haven't even talked about salvation to the person yet. And, salvation merely means the deliverance from the power and effects of sin. Actions are required and words are too. Often this is where excuses or nerves arise. There's no need for this because God's word says that He will give you strength. Just remember that one of the best and easiest ways to show Christ's love and salvation is with your own story of what God did in your life. Tell them about your life before Christ, but more importantly the life, hope, and future that He gives to you now. Not only do you not have to go to Hell and graciously receive Heaven, but there is also peace, purpose, love, and hope in this life. Don't feel like you're not smart enough. Though we do study to grow in our relationship with Christ, you don't have to be a Hebraic scholar to tell someone about Jesus. In fact, if you want to write down 4 simple verses that'll capture God's wonderful plan of salvation in a nut shell, write down and plant these four verses in your heart: Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10.
Explain and Invite
The Bible makes it clear about our separation from Him, our need to repent and do a 180º turn, our need to accept His free grace gift, and our relationship then established as God's children. Once you've shared your story and the things that the Bible says on the issue, find out what they think about all of this. Are they puzzled, interested, wanting more time to think, or could care less. Whatever their response, don't be sheepish or pushy, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the situation and offer to always be there to talk about it if they ever want. Remember that inviting them to come with you to church is always a great way to get them to face their deepest need, the need for a Savior. If God is working on that person and they want to accept Christ as their Savior, PRAISE GOD, you get the privilege of leading someone to the Lord! Offer to pray with them if they want, and maybe get them to repeat from their heart what you verbalize if they don't know what to say. In the prayer just highlight what the Romans verses above mentioned and allow them to admit their need for a Savior, believe and confess in Christ as that Savior, commit to turn from their sinful ways, and follow God's plan for their life. Then, REJOICE! Throw a party!
Discipleship
We can't just leave them hanging from here, they must be discipled. Here's where you get involved in a local church and pour into that person God's love. Always emphasize the need for their own personal relationship with God and how that needs to be nurtured through time with Him in prayer, studying the Bible, and doing life with other believers.
Here we go
Now that you've taken the time to learn about sharing your faith, it's time to take it from theory to application. Simply, just do it. God will be pleased, you will be blessed, and another fortunate soul will receive the most precious gift ever given to mankind, the love of God.
