Mission Statement:
Embracing orphans around the world with His hands, His words, His love, His heart!
In 2003, Tommy and Aimee' Poche' adopted their first two children. Asa, their son, was a domestic adoption and Zoë, their daughter, was an international adoption. "When we look at Asa and Zoë, we cannot imagine them being without a Mom or Dad". Through their years of trying to conceive and seeking the Lord for His guidance, the Poche's have come to know a God who wants to see families multiply and who longs for His people to care for orphans. While they were in Peru to adopt Zoë, they were able to visit 2 orphanages and see first-hand many children’s desire to have a family they can call their own. Through this experience, their eyes and hearts were opened to orphans. They were filled with God’s compassion for the fatherless. Not only do they want to adopt more children, but they also want to help more children be adopted.
Tommy and Aimee' know the trials and financial challenges of both processes, but they also know the reward! The heart of this ministry is to share their experiences and resources on the adoption processes, provide God’s word on adoption, and mirror God’s heart to care for orphans around the world.
“His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family through Jesus Christ. And this gave Him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:5
RUSSIAN ORPHANAGES:
Here are some pictures from orphanages in Kemerovo & Novokuznetsk, Siberia Russia. Most of them capture fun & memorable moments in the life of our kids. Many of these exciting experiences have become possible for our children because of your love, support & care!
Sincerely,

BECOME A FOSTER PARENT : Over 135,000 U.S. foster children currently are waiting to be adopted by a loving family. 50% of these children are over the age of eight. Many of them have been waiting for a family for more than 5 years, through no fault of their own. Please pray about becoming a foster parent.
ADOPTION SUPPORT GROUP: Hi, we are Heath and Dina Slack. We were blessed through the adoption of our son, Jacob, in April of 2003, and we feel that God has led us to be an encouragement to those who have adopted, those who have a desire to adopt, and those who have a heart for orphans. As leaders of the adoption support group, Heath and I are praying that God will reveal His plan. We feel that the Lord not only wants this to be an outlet for fellowship, celebration, and encouragement, but also a network to meet the needs of those who cross the path of this ministry. We will have 4 fellowship events per year. These events are full of food, fun, and fellowship!! Please see Calendar/Events page for our next adoption support group fellowship event!
GRANTS: COMING SOON – online application for financial help with your adoption. “His Heart for Orphans” adoption ministry is dedicated to embracing orphans around the world with His hands, His words, His love, and His heart. In doing so, we want to help the Christian couple by awarding financial grants to qualified families who are in the process of adopting domestically and internationally.
GIVING: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (I Peter 4:10) Giving provides you and I an opportunity to reciprocate God’s overwhelming grace, whether we are giving time or possessions, including money. As you prayerfully consider giving to the work of “His Heart for Orphans”, it is our desire that you see this as an opportunity to express gratitude to God for His kindness toward us, His “adopted sons.”
“When you did it for the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it for me.” Matthew 25:40
